About Me

ABOUT ME
I graduated from The National Holistic Institute in 1996 and have
been a Massage Therapist in private practice ever since. I am currently a member of the AMTA (American Massage Therapy Association) and
am CAMTC (California Massage Therapy Council) Certified.

From early on I knew I wanted to have a career helping people. From the day I received my first massage I realized this was the career path for me. I was totally hooked and knew THIS was it.

Massage was the venue to help me care for and nurture people through the magic of touch. For 23 years, I have been blessed with wonderful clients. It gives me incredible joy to feel knots relax under my hands, and forehead wrinkles soften under my fingers. To facilitate deep healing and relaxation is such a privilege and incredibly rewarding.

My mission has evolved over the years but I have discovered my true passion is teaching people to take good care of themselves.

MASSAGE THERAPY
Over the years I have studied numerous techniques, including Swedish
Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Myofascial Release Massage, Trigger Point Massage Therapy, Neuromuscular Therapy and Sports Massage.
I blend these techniques into a massage session that is unique for each client. My top priority is having my clients leave with a wonderful feeling of well being and relaxation. I also find it extremely satisfying to know I can help relieve pain and increase the range of movement for clients in a natural drug free approach.

Repetitive Strain Injuries
I specialize in the treatment of repetitive strain injuries such as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and other disorders of the wrist and forearm. I also address elbow and shoulder issues including tendonitis and more complex problems including Frozen Shoulder and torn Rotator Cuff injuries. Working with my clients who have these injuries and seeing their progress is truly rewarding!

Reiki and Healthy Aging Skin Care
Wanting to offer an alternative and gentler modality for clients, I became a Reiki Master in 2003 and offer Reiki treatments and Reiki massage. Reiki is a beautiful and gentle energy technique that has helped many of my clients deal with issues including anxiety and chronic pain, as well as overcoming bad habits.

One of the pleasures I have found as I get older is getting facials. I started about 10 years ago and fell in love with facelift massage. It feels absolutely fantastic. The results really are like getting a mini facelift and it’s certainly more affordable and enjoyable. There is also no recovery time needed. It is certainly not exactly like having a surgical procedure done, but after each treatment fine lines and wrinkles are softened and your skin is glowing.

I added this service because women today are looking for natural and non-surgical answers for aging skin. Since I loved working with facial treatments so much, I decided to attend Robinson’s Cosmetology in Concord in 2007, and became a Licensed Esthetician. Teaching my clients how to take care of their skin is important to me. I can focus on thorough cleansing, moisturizing and sun protection. The key to all good skin care is hydration. That cannot be said often enough. When skin is dehydrated, it will look dry and dull. Hydrated skin will look dewy and refreshed, with fewer lines and wrinkles. The earlier skin care is started, the better the results will be.

Drinking water can help with overall hydration, but it doesn’t always address the need to get hydration directly into the skin. Since skin is the largest organ in the human body, you need to take proper care of it. For your face, that includes the necessity of a topical moisturizer. The products I recommend will help your skin not only retain its natural moisture but add to it.

Arbonne Skincare Supports Skin Health
My approach to preventing skin problems is offering great skin care products with an easy to follow regimen designed to give you both great looking and healthy skin. That is why I became a representative for the Arbonne skin care line. Their products are vegan, all natural, never tested on animals and actually deliver the great results you are looking for. Every type of skin has a line dedicated to the problems my clients are facing- from acne prone skin to aging skin. They also address the needs of great looking hair with three lines of hair care products, as well as an awesome make-up line.

My goal is to help mentor and guide my clients towards achieving their desired results. Tension and stress are harmful to our bodies, our careers, and our relationships. How we take care of ourselves determines how well we can achieve our goals. It is not only okay for us to pamper and take care of ourselves, it is necessary so that we can have the energy and desire to take care of our loved ones. It is part of being and becoming who we truly are.

Relaxation is essential to a healthy YOU
